Role Profile:
MUFG is seeking an Associate to join their Transaction Banking Implementation and Client Service team based in Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the end-to-end implementation and ongoing service of transaction banking solutions for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

What you'll do:
As an Associate, you will be instrumental in ensuring that corporate clients receive seamless access to transaction banking solutions tailored to their needs. Your daily responsibilities will involve coordinating every stage of the onboarding journey from initial documentation through rigorous testing phases right up to go-live readiness while providing expert guidance on e-banking platforms.
- Coordinate all aspects of client onboarding and implementation activities for transaction banking solutions, including documentation collection, project planning, connectivity testing, user acceptance testing, readiness checks, go-live coordination, and handover processes.
- Provide comprehensive demonstrations of e-banking platforms to clients while offering clear user guidance and post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption of services.
- Respond promptly to day-to-day client enquiries via hotline or email channels, addressing service incidents and following up on transaction-related requests with accuracy and care.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, Product Development, Operations, Technology teams, and regional colleagues to resolve issues efficiently and keep clients informed throughout the process.
- Maintain detailed implementation plans, status updates, testing evidence, and records of all client communications to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing client experience by participating in product rollouts, process improvement projects, and digitalisation activities within the bank.
- Contribute practical feedback on client requirements and service issues to help refine execution readiness and drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Build strong working relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders across Hong Kong as well as regional teams to foster a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Share knowledge proactively within the team to support coverage needs and promote a service-oriented culture that values cooperation and mutual support.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, delegated authorities, regulatory requirements; maintain accurate records; identify risks related to operations or information security; escalate material issues promptly; support audit reviews and business continuity arrangements as needed.
What you bring:
To excel in this role, your background should reflect hands-on involvement with transaction banking products or services. Your proven track record should highlight your ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining attentive to detail under pressure.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience within transaction banking operations/client service/implementation/corporate banking roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Information Systems or related discipline; additional professional qualifications in banking/project management/technology are considered beneficial.
- A client-focused mindset demonstrated by strong ownership of tasks, responsiveness to requests, and exceptional attention to detail when handling sensitive information or complex processes.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English; fluency in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is highly preferred for engaging with local clients.
- Japanese language capability highly regarded, playing in to our Japanese corporate client base.
- Working knowledge of transaction banking products such as cash management or digital banking services gained through hands-on experience within financial institutions or similar environments.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple concurrent client requests or implementation activities while managing shifting priorities effectively under time constraints.
- Greater emphasis on learning agility and future growth potential.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build rapport with clients as well as internal stakeholders from diverse backgrounds across different regions.
- Sound judgement regarding risk awareness; familiarity with control frameworks; confidence in escalating operational or compliance concerns appropriately when necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; prior exposure to e-banking platforms, host-to-host connectivity solutions, payment file formats or user acceptance testing (UAT) would be advantageous but not essential.
