Responsibilities
- Develops and implements EHS strategies, programs, and annual action plans across all locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Leads EHS compliance activities by monitoring adherence to legal regulations, internal procedures, and management system standards through audits, inspections, and performance assessments.
- Establishes, reviews, and continuously improves EHS policies, standard operating procedures, safety manuals, training programs, and awareness initiatives to strengthen organizational safety culture.
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports EHS performance metrics, audit results, compliance data, and key trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identifies workplace hazards, conducts risk assessments, evaluates control measures, and implements preventive and corrective actions to minimize operational risks and environmental impacts.
- Manages incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans, driving continuous improvement and reducing the frequency, severity, and cost of workplace incidents.
- Partners closely with Operations, Fleet, Sales, HR, and external stakeholders to promote employee awareness, support safety initiatives, and ensure effective communication of EHS requirements and performance.
- Oversees occupational health and safety programs across warehouses, fleet operations, and field-based teams, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with established standards.
- Manages specialized compliance programs, including driver safety and competency, defensive driving initiatives, regulatory transportation requirements, environmental monitoring, and audit readiness activities.
- Drives continuous improvement of EHS performance by leading cross-functional initiatives, managing EHS-related budgets and projects, tracking action plans, and fostering a proactive culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical or related field of study
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Professional examination in Occupational Health and Safety / License for an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor
- Professional examination in Fire Protection (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Windows, Microsoft Excel, and the MS Office suite
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong teamwork skills
- Effective time management and strong organizational skills
- Valid driving license and active driving experience
