The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
The Enterprise Services (ES) Controllership Organization is seeking a detail‑oriented, analytical accounting professional to join our General Accounting Team. The ES Controllership organization is responsible for safeguarding assets managed by the Enterprise Services group, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) Section 404. This role will support Accounts Payable (A/P) Accounting along with other general accounting tasks and controllership activities across ES.
What You Will Do
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly general accounting activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, variance analysis, and supporting documentation.
- Support A/P accounting reconciliations, accruals, and exception resolution.
- Assist with close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in accordance with established schedules.
- Analyze general ledger balances and identify opportunities to improve account accuracy, streamline processes, and reduce financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including A/P, Procurement, Cash Accounting, and FP&A—to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and support process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and support SOX 404 testing requirements, including documentation, remediation activities, and ongoing monitoring.
- Prepare and support audit requests (internal and external) by providing accurate schedules, reconciliations, and explanations.
- Assist with special projects related to standardization, automation, and enhancements in accounting processes within ES.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps and recommending actionable solutions to strengthen controllership.
- Generate financial reports when necessary and provide insights to support decision-making processes, including monthly flux analysis and quarterly preparation and presentation of flux explanations for the Significant Judgments and Events (SJE) Memo and Trial Balance Review (TBR).
- Provide support for ad hoc accounting and analysis requests, including research of financial transactions, preparation of supporting documentation, and completion of one‑off controllership tasks as needed.
- Participate in rotational coverage of ES group mailboxes, ensuring timely review and processing of journal entry requests, cost transfers, and other incoming accounting inquiries.
Qualifications You Must Have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience in accounting software (SAP, Blackline, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
