Pricing Strategy Specialist (Especialista de Precios)
We are currently looking for a Pricing Strategy Specialist to join our Aftersales team in Mexico City. This position is responsible for developing and executing pricing initiatives that enhance business competitiveness and profitability for Nissan and its dealer network.
The role works closely with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Finance, Field Force, Accessories, Product Management, and IT to optimize pricing strategies, ensure governance compliance, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
A Day in the Life
- Analyze competitive pricing, cost structures, and demand elasticity to optimize product price positioning.
- Develop and manage dynamic pricing models, including pricing rules and thresholds for product families.
- Support pricing governance processes, ensuring documentation, approvals, and audit compliance.
- Lead quarterly and ad hoc price review cycles, coordinating analysis and stakeholder alignment.
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical tools to track pricing KPIs and simulate pricing scenarios.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve pricing systems and data integration.
- Review and validate INFINITI export FOB pricing to ensure alignment with costs, policies, and market competitiveness.
- Support strategic pricing initiatives such as international price alignment, tariff impact assessments, and value-based pricing strategies.
- Generate insights and recommendations to improve profitability and business performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing decisions support organizational objectives.
Who We're Looking For
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Pricing, Finance, Business Analytics, Strategic Planning, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of cost structures, margin analysis, and financial modeling.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience using pricing platforms or ERP systems such as SAP or Syncron.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Upper Intermediate English proficiency.
- Availability to travel domestically up to 10% annually.
Desired
- Experience within Automotive, Aftersales, Retail, or Consumer Goods industries.
- Knowledge of pricing strategy methodologies and dynamic pricing models.
- Experience creating dashboards and business intelligence reports.
- Exposure to export pricing, international pricing strategies, or tariff analysis.
- Experience working with large datasets and pricing analytics tools.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence commercial decisions.
- Understanding of value-based pricing and profitability optimization strategies.
