QMS LeaderSummary:
The Site Quality Management System (QMS) Leader is responsible for leading, maintaining, and continuously improving the site's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with GMP requirements, ISO 9001:2015, EFfCI, FSSC 22000, and other applicable quality, regulatory, and certification requirements. This role serves as the site owner of the QMS and ensures alignment with global quality standards, policies, and procedures.The Site QMS Leader drives the effectiveness of quality processes by supporting audit readiness, management review activities, training, documentation control, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with site, regional, and global stakeholders, the role promotes a culture of quality, customer focus, operational excellence, and compliance while supporting the implementation of new systems, digital solutions, and future quality framework enhancements.
Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities Include:
- Site subject matter expert in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and quality standards.
- Updates and maintains the site QMS in alignment with global quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for creating, administering, and maintaining site training for GMP, Kosher/Halal, food safety, and other assigned quality system requirements.
- Reviews QMS updates and verifies compliance with ISO, GMP, FSSC 22000, Kosher/Halal, and other applicable requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, EFfCI, GMP, and other assigned certifications.
- Leads quarterly Quality Management Reviews in accordance with global standard, including reporting improvement opportunities, quality metrics, audit action status, and closure progress to site and global leadership.
- Leads external audit programs, regulatory, customers and certification audits in coordination with the Site Quality Leader and relevant functions.
- Accountable for audit readiness, CAPA oversight, root cause follow-up, and verification that assigned audit actions are completed effectively.
- Leads and collaborates with the Food Safety Team to maintain FSSC 22000 certification.
- Reviews and confirms that deviation investigations meet site requirements before closure
- Reviews GMP batch records and performs final product release activities assigned to the QMS Manager role.
- Drives standardization of site processes and leads quality improvement projects that strengthen compliance, efficiency, and consistency.
- Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations, and supports implementation of best practices and compliance strategies.
- Collaborates with the Site Quality Leader to determine adoption of new standards and to align GMP-specific customer complaint responses.
- Support implementation of new digital solutions.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, quality, business or related field.
- 5+ years experience quality, manufacturing, or related technical role.
- Experience supporting or managing GMP and ISO 9001 certified quality systems.
- Internal or lead auditor certification or equivalent audit experience
- Experience maintaining quality management systems.
- Experience supporting ISO-certified environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
The following are preferred for the role
- Quality Improvement tools experience, (Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies)
- Good Excel experience and skills for data analysis.
- SharePoint administration experience
- Experience developing and delivering training programs

Base Pay Range: £43,300 - £63,470Compensation for this role will be competitive and aligned with market practices in the respective location. Actual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, and geographic location.
