Role summary:
As a (USA) Merchant, you will lead category strategy development and execution for a moderately complex category, driving financial performance and supplier management to meet business objectives. This role requires collaboration across channels to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies while leveraging data insights to influence decisions. You will manage a team, oversee supplier negotiations, and ensure a customer-centric approach throughout all touchpoints. Your leadership will support continuous improvement, operational excellence, and alignment with company values to deliver value and a superior customer experience.

About the team:

Beauty is a fast-paced business on an exciting transformation journey, with Skincare serving as a key growth driver. As part of the Skincare team, the Acne Merchant will lead strategy for the Acne category, shaping how Walmart serves customers across stores and digital. This role leads category strategy, assortment, financial performance, and supplier partnerships while balancing customer needs, trends, and innovation. You will use insights and analysis to identify growth opportunities, curate assortments, negotiate with brands, and drive cross-channel execution. This team values strategic thinking, decision making, collaboration, and supplier management to deliver compelling product offerings and drive business growth.

What you'll do:

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives, analyzing market trends and customer behavior to drive growth.
• Manage profit and loss responsibilities, making informed pricing, promotion, and inventory decisions to meet financial targets.
• Lead supplier negotiations, establishing terms, performance metrics, and communication protocols to ensure profitability and compliance.
• Oversee channel strategy and collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize product availability and customer experience.
• Guide team performance through coaching, development, and clear goal setting to achieve operational excellence.
• Utilize data analytics to inform decisions, improve category performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting.
• Expertise in supplier management, including negotiation and performance tracking.
• Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance evaluation, and development.
• Proficiency in leveraging data and digital tools to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Strong decision-making skills with a focus on customer-centric and omni-channel strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
