WARRANTY ADVISOR

Position Summary

Our client, a leading organization within Jamaica's automotive industry, is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Warranty Advisor to join its Montego Bay operation.

The Warranty Advisor will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of warranty claims, ensuring that eligible costs are recovered from vehicle manufacturers in accordance with established warranty guidelines. The successful candidate will maintain accurate information within the Dealer Management System, coordinate closely with the service and technical teams, and ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five O Level subjects, including Mathematics and English
• Tertiary level certification
• Valid driver's licence
• Minimum of two years' experience within an automotive dealership or manufacturer related environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access and Outlook
• Working knowledge of the CDK system is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Technicians and Service Advisors with appropriate repair times for warranty repairs
• Prepare and submit completed warranty claims to the relevant vehicle manufacturers
• Ensure warranty claims are submitted within manufacturer stipulated timelines
• Prepare and submit goodwill requests where applicable
• Review vehicles for outstanding recalls
• Follow up with the Accounts Department regarding outstanding warranty payments
• Complete the required warranty gap analysis documentation on a daily basis
• Maintain accurate filing of paid warranty invoices
• Obtain manufacturer authorization codes where required
• Manage the disposal of retained warranty parts in accordance with manufacturer timelines and procedures
• Advise relevant team members regarding whether repairs or items qualify for warranty coverage or are customer payable
• Maintain accurate and current information within the Dealer Management System
• Support other departmental responsibilities within the scope of the position
