About the Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with participants, families, support teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement meaningful, evidence-based behaviour support strategies that enhance quality of life and reduce the need for restrictive practices.
Working within a small, experienced and highly collaborative PBS team, you will have access to regular supervision, mentoring, professional development opportunities, and a structured pathway for career progression

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and behavioural analysis.
- Develop, implement, and review evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans.
- Deliver individualised positive behaviour support and skill-building interventions.
- Provide coaching, training, and implementation support to frontline teams.
- Collaborate with participants, families, guardians, providers, and allied health professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Support the identification, reduction, and elimination of restrictive practices in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Monitor, analyse, and interpret behavioural data to inform clinical decision-making.
- Contribute to innovative clinical initiatives, service improvement activities, and quality assurance processes.
- Facilitate participant engagement and feedback to ensure services remain person-centred and responsive.

Essential Requirements
- Recognition as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
- Experience developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience conducting functional behavioural assessments and behavioural analysis.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to practice.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as:
- Developmental Education
- Social Work
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Health Sciences
- Disability Studies
- Human Services
- Or a related field
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting people with complex disability, mental health, forensic presentations, or multiple support needs.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of contemporary Positive Behaviour Support practice and restrictive practice reduction strategies.
