Summary

Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is seeking a Mold / Moisture / Envelope Technician to serve as the certified lead for mold, moisture and building envelope issues in occupied barracks and housing facilities on the installation, assessing conditions, containing and drying affected areas, remediating small areas and documenting results. This is an immediate opening.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assess reported mold and moisture using moisture meters and thermal imaging and identify the water source.
  • Set up containment and drying equipment (LGR dehumidifiers and air movers) and perform small-area remediation following established protocols.
  • Repair building envelope defects (sealant, flashing, minor roof and window repairs) within scope and refer larger work to specialty contractors or the Government customer.
  • Document every job with photos, moisture readings and clearance evidence, and help communicate with residents.
  • Establish containment and negative air pressure using HEPA air scrubbers, following industry standards such as IICRC S500 and S520.
  • Complete clearance documentation, including post-remediation visual inspection and moisture verification, and coordinate third-party clearance testing when required.
  • Follow the respiratory protection program, including fit testing, cartridge change schedules and equipment inspection.

Work Environment

Field-based work in occupied barracks and housing facilities, including roofs and exterior envelope areas. Work is PPE-intensive, including respirator use.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Bending, kneeling and standing for extended periods.
  • Driving a service vehicle between buildings.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.

 

Travel

Daily local travel between buildings on the installation.

 

Experience

  • 3+ years of water-damage restoration and mold remediation experience.
  • Building envelope repair experience (roof, flashing, sealant and windows).

Preferred:

  • Moisture and thermal imaging (e.g., FLIR).
  • Drying equipment such as LGR dehumidifiers.
  • Mold protocol documentation.
  • Familiarity with IICRC S500 and S520 standards.
  • Experience with HEPA air filtration and negative air containment.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus.

 

Education

High school diploma or GED required

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Current IICRC WRT and AMRT certifications (or state-recognized mold remediation certification) required.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Must pass a respirator fit test.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.
