In this role, you will shape and continuously improve maintenance strategies across technical assets and production systems (e.g. HVAC, utilities, facilities, automation systems, and fill & finish equipment), driving reliability, data quality, and asset availability in a cutting-edge sterile drug product facility. What you will do:
- Develop and continuously enhance maintenance strategies for technical assets and production systems to maximize equipment reliability, compliance, and operational availability.
- Establish and optimize maintenance plans for new and existing assets, including spare parts strategies, master data management, documentation, and alignment of maintenance activities with long-term reliability objectives.
- Drive maintenance excellence through data analysis, KPI monitoring, work order management, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve plant operability, reliability, and performance.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. planners, service providers, technicians, operators, engineers, and quality teams) to ensure maintenance activities are scheduled effectively, resources are available, and strategy-driven plans are executed on time.
- Act as a reliability-focused maintenance expert by providing system training, troubleshooting support, and technical guidance while maintaining high-quality asset data and identifying opportunities to improve equipment availability across the site.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering, maintenance planning, or reliability management, with the ability to develop effective maintenance strategies and translate asset requirements into sustainable maintenance plans.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP PM, including maintenance planning, work order management, asset data management, and the evaluation of technical and cost-related information to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills in German (fluent) and English (professional level), enabling effective collaboration with technicians, contractors, and international stakeholders.
- Technical education in Engineering or a related field preferred, combined with a solid understanding of equipment maintenance, reliability improvement, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Thrives in a dynamic and fast-changing environment, bringing a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, a high degree of ownership, and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities; experience with COMOS, GMP, and/or the pharmaceutical industry is considered a strong advantage.
