Supply Chain Operative

Position type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40.25
Shift Pattern: Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00
Pay range: £14.70 - £15.13 depending on experience.
Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid
Are you looking for a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Supply Chain Operative to join our team and play a vital role in keeping materials and products moving efficiently throughout our factory.
This is much more than a traditional warehouse role. You'll spend time on both the warehouse and factory floor, supporting production by ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time and finished goods are moved safely and efficiently across the site.

Responsibilities
- Supplying production lines with materials through efficient line feeding activities.
- Moving pallets and stock around the factory and warehouse.
- Transferring goods between production areas and warehouse locations.
- Clearing and storing finished goods at the end of production runs.
- Accurately recording stock movements using our inventory management system, QAD.
- Maintaining stock accuracy and supporting inventory control activities.
- Working closely with Production, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams.
- Following site health, safety and quality procedures at all times.
Full training will be provided. Line feeding training can take between 6 and 12 months to complete, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the role. Once fully trained, you will have the opportunity to load and unload vehicles using a forklift truck.
Qualifications
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Warehouse experience would be advantageous.
- Experience using stock control or warehouse management systems is desirable, although full training will be provided.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a drive to succeed, improve and challenge the norm.
