Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a The Associate Director, FP&A to join our Finance team.

About the role:
The Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for supporting the coordination of budgeting, monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting the department or company’s overall financial performance. The Associate Director will play a critical role in helping to consolidate financial results and provide valuable insights to senior leadership about the department or company’s financial trajectory. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate FP&A, a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, excellent communication skills, and executive presence.
You will report into the Senior Director, FP&A
Work Location: This position is based in our New York, NY office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $163,944 - 215,177 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the consolidated budget & re-forecasting process for the department and / or company to ensure alignment with operating plan, external guidance, and overall financial targets; provide valuable insights of performance on ongoing basis to leadership
- Management Reporting: Help drive the production and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, highlighting key trends and variances for leadership and investor relations
- Allocation Frameworks: Assist with the development of the cost allocation management and frameworks that align with the operating model
- Systems & Processes: Provide insight into internal finance processes, including oversight of financial planning system(s) and allocations, integrity of raw financial data and granular reporting capabilities
- Leadership: Manage and coach high performing corporate FP&A professionals
- Communication: Communicate financial results, trends, and recommendations to leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in FP&A roles
- 3+ years of:
- Demonstrated strong analytical & problem solving experience
- Expert financial modeling experience and ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies, and financial plans
Bonus points
- Experience in health insurance, managed care or insurance industries
- MBA in Finance, MS in Financial Analysis
- Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery to analyze large data sets
- Proficiency working with Workday and Adaptive
