Description

Function:   


Perform a variety of maintenance functions including but not limited to the mechanical repair of stationary and rolling equipment throughout the Terminal and serve as Tank Farm Operator.


Key Responsibilities:

1- Daily equipment inspection and documentation report.

2- Execute refueler fueling timely without delays.

3- Fuel Sampling and quality control registration.

4-Documentation and records upkeep for compliance with regulations and airlines.

5- Complete Preventive equipment maintenance repair orders issued by Supervisor.

6- Meter cumulative readings reporting and end of day.

7- Ensure Equipment is in proper operating conditions: meter calibrations, manometer, thermometers, measurement tapes, supply vehicle’s pressure system, hoses, etc.

8- Equipment Quality control drain and sampling.

9- SAPS guidelines and JIG requirements adherence.

10- Control and monitor transfers of the various bulk liquid chemicals stored and handled at the facility.

11- Perform product transfers to and from tanks or trucks.

12- Operate quality control equipment calibration: thermometers, measurement tapes, hydrometers, etc.

13- Apply basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, discounts, interest, and percentages.

14- Troubleshoot and repair of equipment and machinery at the facility when required.

15- Installs, maintains, and assists in the repair of mechanical and control equipment.

16- Conduct inspections to identify and report mechanical issues within the Terminal to supervisor.

17- Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed at the facility.

18- Utilize equipment and calibrate as required.

19- Maintain facility infrastructure by means of treating corrosion and painting as required.

20- Support the Terminal operation as required.

  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.
  • Willing to comply with Aviation all Safety and Security standards and be passionate about promoting them within the organization.
  • Co-operate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety, or welfare reasons.
  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demanding’s:

The physical demands described below are representative of what the employee will find when performing his duties.

Working Conditions:

•                     Overtime and weekends as required.

•                     Work both indoors and outdoors.

o   Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.

Equipment and Tools:

Description of the equipment or tools that the individual must use to perform the job functions.

•         Lift and/or carry of equipment and boxes

•         This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and tablets.

•         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

•         This would require the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, bend, stand, or stoop, as necessary.

•         Ability to perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and moderate lifting.

•         Must be able to work in confined spaces, over water and not be afraid of heights

 

Requirements:

 

Experience: 

  • High School diploma and technical degree.
  • 1 -2 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Possess/Maintain a valid state Driver's License and other FAA/Airport required identifications and seals.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • English (written and spoken)
