Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Location: Storm Lake Turkey Plant 

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday – Friday. Must be willing to work overtime & weekends as needed to support operations.

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM/end of shift (flex as needed).

This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the parts room, and providing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed. Key responsibilities include tracking and analyzing inventory usage, monitoring parts flow, processing purchase requisitions, and receiving and delivering parts to support maintenance operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate inventory in the tracking system, performing regular usage analysis.
• Keep the parts room clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Dispense parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed.
• Identify and monitor parts flow using part numbers.
• Release purchase requisitions to the Plant Maintenance Manager or Purchasing Supervisor for approval.
• Receive all maintenance parts, sign vendor tickets, and complete receiving reports for accounts payable.
• Deliver parts to maintenance personnel for specific jobs.
• Stock inventory in the parts room and print documentation for inventory replenishment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year of parts room/inventory experience OR 1+ years of similar work experience preferred
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior experience in SAP is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
• Special Skills: Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant; ability to prioritize work.

 

Internal disqualifiers are the following:

• Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
• No written warning in the past six (6) months
• No suspension on record for the last 12 months

 

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
