What You’ll Do

Maintenance – Entry Level supports uptime and safe operation of our plants, terminals, and equipment by completing hands-on maintenance and repairs. This role exists to keep production and field operations moving, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on asphalt plants/terminals, rock crushing equipment, and other fixed locations
- Maintain the shop/warehouse with organized, clean housekeeping
- Assist with fabrication and welding work, including blades, buckets, and dump truck beds
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable local/state/federal regulations

Required qualifications/skills:
- Insurable driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Albemarle shop
- Familiarity with MIG/TIG/Stick welding and using a voltage meter
- Experience with hand/power tools and shop equipment; can read a tape measure
- Reliable attendance; tardiness/absenteeism not tolerated
- Able to work outdoors often, lift 50 lbs. frequently (up to 90 lbs. occasionally), and work on uneven surfaces

A Typical Shift

You start early at the Albemarle shop, review the day’s priorities, and get set up with the tools and parts you’ll need. Most days include time outside in changing weather, moving between equipment and locations as needs shift. You’ll work alongside experienced teammates, watch how they troubleshoot issues, and pick up new techniques as you go. Between tasks, you keep your work area clean and organized so the shop stays safe and ready. Some days run tight on time, so you stay focused, communicate clearly, and finish the job the right way. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays when the workload demands it.
