- Assist with compiling patient information and medical records needed for admissions, recertifications, and clinical reviews.
- Support the clinical team in maintaining accurate patient medication profiles, diagnoses, and provider information.
- Assist with monitoring administrative deadlines and outstanding clinical documentation requirements.
- Identify documentation discrepancies and communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team member for review or correction.
- Perform administrative follow-up related to medical benefit authorizations and documentation requests.
Physician and Provider Coordination
- Communicate professionally with physician offices, healthcare facilities, specialists, and other medical providers.
- Facilitate the exchange of medical records, physician orders, and clinical documentation.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating medical appointments, physician evaluations, and other healthcare-related services as directed.
- Maintain organized records of provider communications, pending requests, and completed follow-up activities.
- Support timely communication between NWS clinical staff and external medical providers.
Office Administration and Workflow Support
- Assist with daily administrative operations of the clinical office.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and direct clinical concerns to the appropriate licensed staff member.
- Monitor assigned email inboxes and process incoming documentation, requests, and correspondence.
- Scan, upload, fax, and electronically distribute medical records and administrative documents.
- Maintain organized electronic filing systems and assist with improving office documentation processes.
- Monitor assigned tasks and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with administrative and clinical personnel to support efficient office operations.
- Assist with special projects, administrative assignments, and other duties as directed by clinical leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical documentation, and healthcare office procedures.
