Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Full Time Patrol Tour Verification in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout school buildings, entry points, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing guests and reporting concerns to appropriate school personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
