Description
Delivery Route Driver
The Delivery Route Driver is responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight to both business and residential customers. Deliveries may range from standard curbside service to white glove service, including basic installation and setup when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled pickups and deliveries in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all pickup and delivery interactions.
- Handle a variety of service levels, including curbside, inside delivery, white glove, and light installation services.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and proof of delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, customer concerns, and service requirements.
- Load, secure, and transport freight safely to prevent damage.
- Follow all DOT, company safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company professionally through appearance, communication, and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and transport freight as required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with dispatch and operations teams.
- Experience with white glove delivery and installation services is preferre
