Description
At BrandSafway, we know our employees are our greatest asset, which is why we give them the tools, training, and resources to be successful. Come join our growing team!
Summary:
The Analyst, Digital Products is a hands-on builder on the Analytics & AI team. The role supports analytics and AI initiatives across the enterprise in close partnership with business stakeholders in operations, sales and growth, supply chain, finance, EHS, engineering, HR and legal, working alongside the Principals and Analysts. You will write the SQL, prototype the AI use cases, test the agents and assistants before they reach users, and measure whether what we ship gets used and changes results on the BrandSafway AI platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain Snowflake datasets, SQL queries and Power BI reports that answer business questions across functions: branch and job performance, pipeline and win rate, fleet and inventory, spend and savings, working capital, safety and workforce.
• Prepare, profile and validate data for predictive models, scoring and Generative AI / LLM use cases; reconcile platform numbers to source systems and to what Finance reports.
• Prototype AI use cases with Python and LLM APIs or Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Automate, using sample or masked data, so sponsors can react to something working before build capacity is committed.
• Write, test and refine prompts, retrieval sources and guardrails for the platform’s natural-language assistant and agents; build evaluation sets and score outputs for accuracy, grounding and consistency before release.
• Test agent behavior against the limits leaders set, including human-review steps, and document where an agent should recommend versus act.
• Define metrics with formulas, sources and owners; maintain data dictionaries, including the data classification tier for every field.
• Instrument and track adoption and business impact after go-live: usage telemetry, the weekly scorecard by region and function, and model and agent performance over time.
• Document requirements, data mappings and acceptance criteria that product managers, engineers and the platform partner can act on.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to business stakeholders at branch, regional and corporate levels.
Qualifications:
• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, applied AI or a related hands-on analyst role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL: joins, aggregations, window functions, reading others’ queries and reconciling discrepancies.
• Working Python (pandas) for data preparation, analysis and scripting against APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or a comparable BI tool, including measures and data models.
• Practical experience building with Generative AI / LLMs: prompt design, retrieval over documents or data, and evaluating outputs.
• Foundation in statistics and analytical methods; able to explain a model’s output to a non-technical user.
• Clear written and verbal communication with business users across functions.
• Attention to detail; ties numbers out before sharing them.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse, and with Azure services such as Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate or similar low-code tools for building assistants and workflows.
• Experience building or evaluating AI agents, including tool use, human-in-the-loop review and audit trails.
• Experience with machine learning in practice: training, validating and monitoring classification or scoring models.
• Experience supporting more than one business function, such as operations, finance, supply chain, sales or HR.
• Experience with user acceptance testing or release testing on a software product.
• Experience in construction, industrial services, equipment rental or another branch-based business with job costing.
