ABOUT GMR MARKETING
We are the Experience Agency Making Unforgettable Stories Born of Humanity
NOT JUST EXPERIENTIAL. EXPERIENCE.
The lines have blurred. People live in the physical, digital, and social worlds all at once, and your brand experiences should do the same.
NOT JUST TELLING. MAKING.
The best stories are lived, not heard. Make an immersive world for people to explore so they can experience something they’ll never forget.
NOT JUST CONSUMERS. HUMANS.
It all starts with the human. If you want to make a lasting impact, look beyond the wallet to understand what motivates and inspires people.
You are the 2D authority. Your eye is uncompromising. You move between minimalist elegance and maximalist storytelling with the same precision. You see visual problems—kerning issues, color relationships, hierarchy—before anyone else. And you don't just fix them; you teach others to see them too. You've earned the right to lead projects, mentor emerging designers, and push the boundaries of 2D craft.
Why GMR? Because we're not here to do what's already been done. We're inventors. Curators of the future. At this level, your 2D foundation becomes the backbone for entire experiences. You'll work alongside Creative Directors, Design Directors, and Motion Specialists as a strategic partner—not just an executor. Your taste, judgment, and craft set the standard.
A portfolio or work samples are required to be considered for the role.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Own the visual language. You’ll establish typography systems, color palettes, grid architectures, and visual identities that give projects a distinct point of view and scale seamlessly across channels.
- Concept, design, present. You’ll take ideas from first sketch to final execution, developing and presenting 2D solutions across print, digital, environmental, and experiential work with clarity and confidence.
- Master the details. You bring an uncompromising eye and expert level craft to every execution, from kerning and hierarchy to color relationships and composition. You balance bold creative thinking with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every design decision serves a purpose.
- Collaboration. You’ll partner with Creative Directors, Motion Designers, and 3D Artists to ensure 2D elements work seamlessly within larger visual systems. You’ll also mentor emerging designers, offer thoughtful critique, and help raise the creative bar across the team.
- Think strategically. You understand that great design is more than a beautiful execution. You connect visual decisions to strategy, solve problems with intention, and build identities that remain distinctive and consistent across applications.
- Present with impact. You communicate your creative vision clearly and present your design decisions with confidence. You know how to articulate the why behind the work and get others invested in the vision.
- Deliver without compromise. Tight deadlines and complex projects don’t faze you. You balance speed with precision, manage competing priorities, and deliver polished, production ready work without sacrificing quality.
- Stay relentlessly curious. You’re always exploring new tools, technologies, and approaches, including AI, to push your process and work forward while staying grounded in the fundamentals of great design.
- System proficiency. You will join our team with a previous understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat. You have expert knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and visual systems, plus a portfolio that demonstrates conceptual depth, consistency, and bold aesthetic choices.
Why This Role Will Define Your Career: You're moving from practitioner to standard-setter. Your 2D work will anchor entire campaigns. You'll mentor emerging talent, partner with Creative Directors on strategy, and build a body of work that defines categories.
The annual range for this role varies between $68,000 and $80,000 annually and may vary depending on the candidate’s experience. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401k, employee stock purchase plan, vacation, personal days and paid holiday time. You are also eligible to participate in disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA plans subject to the terms and conditions of such benefit plans.
