Your Next Chapter:

Do you thrive where technology, data, investment expertise, and relationships intersect? At Acrisure, we are redefining what it means to be a sales professional by providing cutting-edge tools, entrepreneurial freedom, and the support of a global fintech leader.

We are seeking a high-performing Client Advisor with deep qualified retirement plan expertise to develop new client relationships, retain and expand existing relationships, and grow Acrisure’s Retirement Solutions business. This role serves employers with 20 to 2,000 employees and requires a consultative understanding of 401(k), 403(b), investment management, plan design, fiduciary considerations, participant needs, fees, and related retirement plan services.

The successful candidate will operate with autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset while collaborating across sales, service, marketing, and investment teams. The role balances disciplined new-business development with strategic, ongoing client management.

What You’ll Do:

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Achieve annual objectives established in the sales plan by building a qualified pipeline, converting leads into revenue-generating opportunities, and consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on qualified retirement plan opportunities within the target market.
  • Generate leads and referrals through current clients, centers of influence, community relationships, and outside contacts; identify and pursue requests for proposal when appropriate.
  • Use CRM, analytics, AI-enabled sales tools, and structured outreach cadences to prioritize high-value opportunities, monitor prospect engagement, and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales materials, proposals, and plan recommendations to prospective clients.

Client Service, Advising & Retention

  • Own and steward an assigned portfolio of retirement plan clients, serving as the primary strategic advisor and coordinating the full client experience with service, investment, compliance, and operations partners.
  • Lead recurring client and plan reviews covering investment performance, plan design, participation and deferral trends, fees, fiduciary considerations, service performance, and opportunities to improve participant outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a documented service and retention plan for each relationship, including contact cadence, annual objectives, decision-maker mapping, key milestones, relationship risks, and follow-up commitments.
  • Provide proactive education and recommendations to plan sponsors and retirement committees, translating complex investment, regulatory, fiduciary, fee, and plan-design topics into clear actions.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of service issues and escalations, establish clear ownership, communicate progress, and follow through until resolution.
  • Identify retention risks early by monitoring engagement, service concerns, organizational changes, competitive activity, and client feedback; partner with leadership on recovery and retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate meeting notes, commitments, service activity, relationship intelligence, and follow-up tasks in Salesforce to support accountability and continuity.
  • Build relationships across plan sponsor leadership, retirement committees, finance, human resources, and other stakeholders to strengthen trust and reduce single-contact risk.
  • Identify appropriate plan enhancements, additional services, and cross-sell opportunities based on demonstrated client needs while maintaining a client-first advisory approach.

Retirement Plan Consulting & Solutions

  • Assess employer and participant needs and tailor plan proposals and plan designs that highlight potential cost efficiencies, tax considerations, investment options, fees, and participant outcomes.
  • Apply broad knowledge of 401(k), 403(b), investment management practices, qualified retirement plan products, and related services to deliver consultative recommendations.
  • Partner with Retirement Solutions colleagues, investment professionals, service teams, and marketing specialists to deliver coordinated, comprehensive solutions.
  • Provide strategic market and client input to help strengthen Acrisure’s retirement plan capabilities, client experience, and growth strategy.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by developing deep relationships, understanding each organization’s objectives, and delivering solutions that create long-term value.
  • Maintain an active client management role after the sale, including relationship reviews, proactive communication, retention efforts, and identification of expansion opportunities.
  • Use Salesforce and related engagement platforms to document activity, monitor contact frequency, manage follow-up, and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Participate in joint prospect and client meetings, respond to inquiries, and foster clear communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Sales Process & Market Discipline

  • Follow structured sales cadences and maintain accurate CRM data to support pipeline progression, forecasting, and disciplined deal management across the create, convert, close, and retain lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with leadership on pipeline reviews, revenue forecasts, strategic deal planning, and recommendations to optimize results.
  • Monitor retirement industry developments, competitor activity, regulatory trends, and market needs to refine positioning and identify new opportunities.
  • Represent Acrisure in the market and build a strong external network as a growth-minded, technology-enabled retirement plan advisor.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of qualified retirement plan experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales, business development, investment management, portfolio management, or retirement plan advisory work.
  • Series 65 registration, or equivalent IAR qualification, required at hire
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional designation strongly preferred, such as CFP, QKA, QFPC, PPA, CPFA, C(k)P, AIF, CPA, or an advanced degree.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue, retention, and relationship-management goals.
  • Strong consultative, strategic-thinking, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfort using CRM, analytics, and AI-enabled applications.
  • Ability to accommodate occasional work outside normal business hours and travel as client or business needs require.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience with market expansion, leveraging technology to enter new markets or enhance sales efforts in existing markets.
  • Proven track record of obtaining new clients and/or new revenue growth in the industry with a focus on utilizing technology and tech platforms.
  • Demonstrated technology skills, including experience using CRM and AI applications.
