Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, the Associate Consultant, Data & Analytics will help customers make faster and better business decisions by turning their data into trusted, AI-ready insights. Working alongside consultants on client engagements, they will build Power BI reports and semantic models, develop data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, support assessments and training workshops, and help customers prepare their data for Copilot and AI. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who enjoys working directly with customers and has a passion for using data to drive business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

·        Engage with clients in discovery sessions to translate business needs into technical requirements, and support scoping, estimates, letters of effort (LOE) and statements of work

·        Design and build Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models using strong data modelling, DAX, Power Query (M) and visualization practices

·        Build and maintain data pipelines, dataflows, lakehouses and warehouses in Microsoft Fabric and Azure that integrate data from multiple sources

·        Connect to APIs and business applications such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and ERP platforms, including authentication and pagination

·        Build well-modelled, documented and governed data foundations that support Copilot, AI agents and other AI use cases

·        Support Fabric assessments across capacity, cost, governance, pipelines, Power BI and AI readiness, and document findings, quick wins and implementation plans

·        Configure workspaces, user access, row-level security and governance controls in line with client policies

·        Prepare and facilitate Power BI and Fabric training, and create documentation and handover materials so client teams can sustain solutions after go-live

·        Review delivery work from offshore teams and partners, build reusable templates and sample reports, support customer demos, and identify follow-on opportunities to share with sales

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience

·        2-4 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering or data engineering, ideally in a consulting or client-facing role

·        Strong Power BI skills, including star-schema modelling, DAX, Power Query (M), report design, licensing, workspaces, security and access management

·        Proficiency in SQL, working knowledge of Python, and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating APIs

·        Ability to articulate complex data-related concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Other Required Qualifications

·        Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, notebooks) or Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse or Databricks

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, with confidence working directly with customers and collaborating with consultants, offshore delivery teams and partners

·        Track record of balancing multiple priorities and client deadlines while adapting to changing needs, with the ability to travel occasionally to client sites

Nice to Have

·        Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, DP-600 or DP-700, and experience with Copilot in Power BI or Fabric, Copilot Studio, or preparing data for AI

·        Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce or ERP data sources, and familiarity with data governance and quality practices such as Microsoft Purview and sensitivity labels

·        Experience with Git, deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, Power Apps or Power Automate, and the ability to communicate in English and French

Pay range: $ 70,000- $ 96,400, depending on experience and skill set
