Responsibilities:
Responsible for establishing an independent quality system to monitor compliance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements and maintaining a close liaison with the responsible Section of the Civil Aviation Authority on all matters affecting airworthiness and the approval
Responsible for implementing a quality audit program in which compliance with all maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each type of component maintained, Any observed non-compliance or poor standards are brought to the attention of the person concerned via his/her manager with a time schedule for remedial action to be completed
Report directly to the Accountable Manager on matters concerning the quality system and in the event of any reported discrepancy not being adequately attended to by the relevant person.
Responsible for corrective action to remedy any deficiencies in the organization
Responsible for assessing sub-contractors for extension of the quality system, and maintaining the expertise necessary to be able to do so, to the satisfaction of the Civil Aviation Authority
Responsible for assessing external specialist services required to be used by the company in the performance of maintenance
Responsible for assessing suppliers of new and used components, and materials, for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the organization
Responsible for preparing standard practices and procedures for use within the organization, derived from approved resources, and keeping them up to date.
Responsible for reviewing and amendment of the organization Exposition Manuals, Organisation Procedure Manual and Quality Manuals
Responsible for defect analysis in respect of components undergoing maintenance so that any adverse trends are identified and responded to promptly
Responsible for escapes and COPQ metrics
Monitor current Airworthiness Regulations and review impact of regulatory updates on Quality System
This data will include the repair station’s process specification for all approved specialized services, manufacturer’s overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specification related CAA approved data and other technical data used by this repair station
Establish and maintain quality system to ensure that no defective, unserviceable, or non-airworthy parts are installed in any component or articles released by this repair station
Submit reports of defects of non-airworthy condition in accordance with airworthiness requirements (Regulations)
Assure proper execution of all forms, tags and signing authorized release certificates
Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components
Ensure quality system such that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts
Responsible for personnel qualification and stamp authorization
Lead implementation of IT solutions to bring efficiencies to the QA system to reduce costs and improve effectiveness
Perform cost benefit analysis to non-product driven quality initiatives
Collect and analyze data to reduce process risk
Drive PFMEA creation and risk mitigation on all KPC related to CTQ
Drive implementation of Safety Management System
Take initiative to assist stakeholders in increasing value to customers through quality at source
Adopt CORE Operating System is execution of related business processes
Carry out any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering / Quality Management / Aeronautical, and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
Knowledge of and experience in ISO 9001/AS9110 quality management systems standards
Well-versed in various Civil Aviation Regulations such as SAR145, FAR145, EASA145 & CCAR145
Passed the CAAS Air Legislation examination paper L11, L12 or M10 as appropriate
Knowledge and experience in maintaining Safety Management Systems
Strong communications and leadership skills
Intermediate information system skill level, SAP, Solumina a plus
