Under the Supervision of the lead technologist, the technologist will follow established policies, perform established CT protocols, venipuncture, tele-radiography, complete routine clerical tasks and assist patients. The technologist will apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient’s illness or injury.Education/Training:
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
Licenses/Certification:
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography
• Massachusetts DPH Radiation Control License in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography
• Venipuncture certification which is provided from the institution during the 12-week probationary period.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in CT, preferably in a hospital environment
Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing as needed
High level of technical and informatics knowledge and skill
Must perform venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of the radiologist. Must follow all hospital and departmental contrast administration policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Siemens and Toshiba experience
Synapse/PACS experience
Meditech experience
Previous Cerner experience a plus
