What You Will Accomplish With Us
As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be at the center of our mission. Key responsibilities include:
- Guide policyholders through every stage of the property claims process;
- Evaluate, assess, and control damages while determining applicable coverage under insurance policies;
- Coordinate and assign the appropriate experts and service providers required to support claim resolution;
- Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with policy provisions, company procedures, and established authority levels;
- Assess subrogation and recovery opportunities and take appropriate action when applicable;
- Prepare and submit complete claim reports within established timelines;
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including working groups, Kaizen activities, IRC committees, and other collaborative projects;
- Perform any other related duties as required to support operational needs.
What Will Help You Succeed in This Role
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a claims adjuster licence issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF);
- Has a minimum of five years of experience in property claims adjusting;
- Is recognized for exceptional customer service, active listening skills, and empathy;
- Demonstrates strong autonomy, accountability, and professional judgment;
- Exhibits excellent stress management skills and the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations;
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment and contributes to delivering an outstanding client experience;
- Holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or equivalent professional accreditation, considered an asset;
- Possesses a valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for business travel;
- Intermediate English-language proficiency is required, as the incumbent will be required to communicate with English-speaking policyholders and other stakeholders, analyze and manage claims files, explain insurance coverage, and negotiate claim settlements in English on a regular basis.
