In this role, you will:
Support management in the day-to-day supervision of less experienced team providing guidance, and resolution to issues contributing to overall effectiveness of team
Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within Operations group
Perform or guide others on complex escalated issues that require planning, evaluation, and interpretation
Prioritize work and provide daily work leadership and mentorship to team
Provide training and technical guidance to less experienced staff
Lead or contribute to implementation of new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among operation teams
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders
Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Serve as a resource to other departments on transaction structure, documentation, and company policies
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Operations support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Military experience researching and assessing questions, process, and procedures to make recommendations on solutions
Military experience with tracking information in multiple computer systems with high level of accuracy
Military experience resolving complex issues via written or verbal communication, including but not limited to, supply action requests, updating personnel records, answering benefit or pay questions, resolving errors, researching questions and other needs as requested by customers
US Military Service in US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, US Space Force
Experience reviewing and researching banking transactions, payments, remittance exceptions, cash application discrepancies, and account activity
Strong knowledge of financial services operations, including investigations, fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience utilizing multiple research and servicing systems such as InfoLease, ISM, and other operational research tools to investigate and resolve complex issues
Proven analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret, and summarize large volumes of data while identifying trends, discrepancies, and root causes
Demonstrated ability to make timely and independent decisions when resolving payment exceptions, cash application issues, and operational inquiries
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality while handling sensitive financial transactions and confidential customer information
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including USA PATRIOT Act, AML, and customer/entity verification processes
Ability to effectively navigate multiple systems, applications, and search tools while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels
Proven ability to adapt to new policies, procedures, systems, and business processes while maintaining productivity and quality standards
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance to team members while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve high production, accuracy, and customer service standards
