Role Overview

The Analytics Consultant II is a Business Intelligence and Analytics professional responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering analytics and reporting solutions across UKG products, including UKG Pro, UKG Pro WFM, and UKG Data Hub.

This role works closely with customers, Project Managers, Solution Consultants, and other project stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective analytics solutions. The consultant is expected to apply product capabilities and BI best practices to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and project scope.

The role also includes developing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions, validating delivered solutions, and providing support through deployment and post-go-live activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate business requirements into analytics solutions.
  • Configure and deploy UKG Analytics and Data Hub solutions based on approved solution designs.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools such as IBM Cognos Analytics, BIRT, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Develop custom analytics solutions based on customer requirements and defined specifications.
  • Create test plans, validate solutions, troubleshoot issues, and document test results.
  • Support production cutover and provide post-go-live assistance for analytics-related issues and requests.
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, patterns, and potential data quality issues, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Consultants, and other Analytics Consultants to ensure solutions are delivered within scope and meet customer expectations.
  • Follow analytics implementation standards, documentation practices, and established delivery methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, or implementing Analytics solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, BIRT, Power BI, or comparable BI and reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of reporting, dashboard design, data visualization, and BI concepts.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS/Informatica/Talend or comparable data integration technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Good SQL knowledge; advanced SQL proficiency is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, or similar technologies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python is an advantage but not required.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage assigned deliverables independently while collaborating effectively within a project team.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving product capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work with customers and project teams across different time zones as required.
