Description
About the Role
As a Relationship Executive based in Mackay or Rockhampton, you’ll manage an established portfolio of larger regional and agribusiness customers across Central Queensland, building trusted partnerships and delivering meaningful value through a deep understanding of each customer’s business. With a smaller, focused portfolio and the support of a dedicated analyst, you’ll have the capacity to spend more time with customers, develop tailored banking solutions and provide a highly responsive relationship experience.
Alongside strengthening and retaining existing relationships, you’ll play an important role in growing the book by identifying new lending opportunities, building referral networks and developing new-to-bank relationships. You’ll manage the portfolio with strong attention to credit quality, compliance, customer reviews and sustainable financial outcomes, while contributing to BOQ’s continued growth and presence across regional Queensland.
About You
You’ll bring experience managing banking relationships across agribusiness, commercial banking or a similar environment, with a proven ability to build, retain and grow a quality customer portfolio. You understand the importance of being visible and connected within the local market, and you’re confident developing relationships with customers, referral partners and other stakeholders to create new business opportunities.
You’ll combine strong relationship management capability with sound credit and financial analysis skills, commercial judgement and a disciplined approach to portfolio and risk management. Most importantly, you’ll be genuinely interested in the businesses and communities you support, bringing curiosity, practical thinking and a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for customers.
