Job Summary
Responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive estimates for HVAC Testing, Adjusting & Balancing projects across healthcare, education, commercial, laboratory, industrial, and government facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to determine project requirements.• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate TAB scope based on mechanical drawings and project specifications.• Develop labor-hour estimates for air and hydronic balancing, sound and vibration testing, duct leakage testing, fume hood testing, smoke control testing, and commissioning support services.• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, equipment, subcontractors, travel, per diem, and material costs.• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications.• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations as required.• Prepare proposal documents, bid forms, qualifications, and scope narratives.• Participate in bid reviews and estimate presentations with management.
Qualifications
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.• 5+ years of experience in HVAC TAB, commissioning, mechanical contracting, or related industry.• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and TAB procedures.• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.• Experience preparing estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC projects.• Must be fluent with Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to read and interpret drawings and/or construction plans are required for success. • This position requires strong negotiating and organizational skills, the ability to perform detailed work promptly, follow through order closure, and manage the order throughout the manufacturing process.

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
