As a Security Officer Full Time Guest Reception in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for visitors, staff, and guests. You will monitor access, support visitor screening and entry procedures, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
- Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Support a welcoming visitor experience while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of activities in public and restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Guard card is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
