Description
HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice II. This role supports the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and HVAC equipment, including ductwork, control boxes, drainpipes, and related components. Under the guidance of experienced mechanics and foremen, the Apprentice II will assist with a variety of tasks in both field and shop environments.
Work May Involve
- Minimum 1–2 years of sheet metal or HVAC installation experience
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow directions from senior team members
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Assist in installing ductwork per SMACNA standards for ATUs, RTUs, and Split Systems
- Support fabrication and assembly tasks as directed by the supervisor or lead mechanic
Other Requirements
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work well on a team and interact respectfully with others
- Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure
- Ability to travel to job sites and occasionally stay overnight if required
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Basic hand tools required; willingness to continue building personal tool inventory
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test in accordance with our Company Substance Abuse Policy
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment fitness test
