At Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Pediatric Behavioral Health, experts in pediatric psychiatry, psychology, and other specialties work together to provide evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient's unique needs. We address emotional and behavioral regulation, social skill development, everyday functional skill development, and more. Our behavioral health services span multiple care settings, ensuring seamless, coordinated care, no matter what level of support is currently needed.

Our teams work closely with parents and caregivers to create personalized care plans that promote resilience, confidence, and overall well-being for every child.

The Operations Manager will lead an 18-member team supporting behavioral health professionals at our main location and two satellite locations. A third satellite location is scheduled to open in April 2027. While previous healthcare or clinical experience is beneficial, we are seeking a resilient, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable leader who can support a dedicated team navigating the complexities of today's healthcare environment.

Scope of work

Responsible for the activities of team members within practices and oversees the delivery of optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction in collaboration with dyad partners. Trains team members and serves as a liaison between providers, team members and director in daily operations. Responsible for charge capture processing, standard work, process improvement and practice staffing. Manages team member performance and development and ensures policy adherence. Manages multiple sites and specialty programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, management, health care administration or other related area Required.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business, management, health care administration or other related area Preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant healthcare or medical practice experience Required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a leadership role and/or role leading complex projects and initiatives. Proven track record of achieving financial targets and demonstrated ability to think strategically with a thorough understanding of strategic development Required.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and other medical practice systems Preferred.
