What does an Employment Specialist - Job Coach do?

This Job Coach position supports people working in the community in competitive employment. They assist the person to maintain a job through on-site visits and other workplace supports. The Job Coach learns the job duties of the person they are supporting and then they assist them to build proficiency over time.

Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Supervisory and Human Service experience preferred.
• Experience in grounds maintenance, housekeeping, and/or Janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours is required.
• A valid NYS driver's license that meets Agency standards is required.
