Description

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Practice Leader to head our Cloud & Hybrid IT practice and lead our transformation into an AI-first services organization. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the strategic direction of cloud and hybrid IT offerings, embedding AI across the entire services lifecycle, and building the capability and credibility needed to make us the partner of choice for enterprise clients navigating their cloud and AI journeys.

The successful candidate will own the practice's P&L levers — offerings, solutions, capability, and revenue contribution — and will work cross-functionally with Sales, Delivery, Engineering, Alliances, and Marketing to scale the practice profitably. This is not a pure delivery role; it requires equal strength in strategy, solutioning, business development, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Practice Strategy & AI-First Transformation

  • Define and execute the multi-year strategy for the Cloud & Hybrid IT practice, with AI-first principles embedded across every offering, solution, and engagement

  • Lead the reimagination of traditional cloud services (migration, modernization, managed services, FinOps, SRE) through agentic AI, GenAI copilots, and autonomous operations

  • Establish the practice's market positioning, value proposition, and differentiation against hyperscalers, Big 4, and global SI competitors

  • Set annual revenue, margin, utilization, and capability-build targets, and own performance against them

2. Offerings Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Build, evolve, and retire a portfolio of productized service offerings spanning: Cloud advisory, migration, and modernization (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) Hybrid and multi-cloud architecture, including private cloud and edge Application modernization and containerization (Kubernetes, microservices, serverless) Cloud-native engineering and platform engineering (DevSecOps, IaC, GitOps) AI-enabled cloud operations, AIOps, FinOps, and observability Sovereign cloud, regulated industry cloud, and resilient hybrid architectures

  • Ensure every offering has a clear AI-first design — embedding GenAI accelerators, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation as core (not bolted-on) components

  • Maintain offering currency by tracking hyperscaler roadmaps, emerging technologies, and competitive intelligence; refresh offerings on a quarterly cadence

  • Define commercial models (fixed-fee, outcome-based, consumption-based) and pricing benchmarks for each offering

3. Customer Solutioning & Pre-Sales Leadership

  • Lead solutioning for the practice's largest and most complex pursuits, including multi-year transformation deals, RFP responses, and competitive bids

  • Personally engage with C-suite stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CDO, Chief Architect) to shape demand, anchor solutions, and win trust

  • Build and maintain a library of reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and accelerators that improve win rates and reduce solutioning cycle time

  • Partner with the Sales organization to develop account strategies, qualify opportunities, and convert pipeline; contribute directly to bookings and TCV targets

  • Establish pricing discipline, deal qualification standards, and review governance for large pursuits

4. Pilots, Proofs-of-Value & Innovation

  • Drive a structured pilot and PoV program to validate emerging cloud + AI offerings with select clients before broader productization

  • Establish "lighthouse" engagements that demonstrate measurable outcomes and become reference-able case studies

  • Run an innovation pipeline that ingests ideas from clients, alliances, and internal teams; prioritize and incubate the highest-potential ones

  • Partner with hyperscaler innovation programs (AWS GenAI Innovation Center, Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs, Google Cloud AI initiatives) to co-build offerings

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 15+ years in IT services, with at least 8+ years in cloud and infrastructure services leadership

  • Proven track record building and scaling a cloud or infrastructure practice in a global SI, consulting firm, or hyperscaler — including P&L ownership of $50M+ practice revenue

  • Deep expertise across at least two of the major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a strong working knowledge of the third

  • Hands-on understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, and agentic AI architectures, and how they are reshaping cloud services delivery

  • Demonstrable experience leading large, complex deals ($10M-$100M+ TCV) from shaping to closure

Technical Depth:

  • Strong fluency in modern cloud-native architectures: containers, Kubernetes, serverless, service mesh, event-driven systems

  • Hybrid and multi-cloud experience including private cloud (VMware, Nutanix, OpenStack), edge computing, and cloud-adjacent networking (SD-WAN, SASE)

  • Experience with AIOps, observability (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic), and intelligent automation platforms

  • Working knowledge of cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, SOC2), and sovereign cloud requirements

Leadership & Commercial:

  • Track record of leading distributed teams of 100+ practitioners across geographies

  • Strong commercial acumen — comfortable with pricing, deal structuring, and margin engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at C-suite level and represent the firm externally

  • Experience working in matrixed organizations spanning Sales, Delivery, Alliances, and Marketing

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

  • Active cloud certifications (Solutions Architect Professional / Expert level on AWS, Azure, or GCP) strongly preferred
