Sr. Control Systems Engineer

Fluence Office: Bangalore, India

The Sr. Control Systems Engineer is an exciting role providing support for the coordination and harmonization of Sales and tendering processes. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) control systems with Microgrids knowledge, you will be a key member of the Global Bid Support team. In this role, you will directly support the global Sales and Sales Engineering team by bringing deep technical expertise and commissioning experience to analyze and evaluate bidding strategies, methods, and best practices.

Responsibilities

·       Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert in BESS control systems and Microgrids within the Global Bid Support team.

·       Provide Sales and Tendering support for tendering and proposal management for the global Sales and Sales Engineering teams.

·       Understand customer requirements and manage the efficient development and submission of the Proposal within the given timeframes.

·       Leverage hands-on commissioning experience to ensure proposed control system architectures are practically executable and technically sound.

·       Prepare proposals based on stakeholder inputs, bid requirements, standard information and research as required, in accordance with Fluence’s document standards and customer needs.

·       Ensure every submission is compliant with customer submission requirements using Fluence’s approval process.

·       Day to day interaction with and technical support of the Sales and Tender teams globally.

·       Support the implementation and planning of various internal projects / processes in the sales and tendering cycles.
 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

·       Bachelor degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline.

·       A minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience specifically in BESS control systems.

·       Strong technical knowledge of Microgrids combined with practical, hands-on commissioning experience.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to negotiate with key stakeholders, ability to develop relationships across all facets of the business.

·       Demonstrated sales and client focused acumens.

·       Ability to analyze and bring the best cases for business decisions.

·       Ability to professionally communicate at all levels including C level.

·       Understanding / ability to work in a complex matrix organization.

·       Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle pressure, to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging and highly interactive deadline-driven environment.
