YOUR MISSION

  • Deliver lead designs of specified category with the leadership of Director Design Sportstyle Footwear

  • Conceptualize unique and market relevant Color&Material designs that address consumer, retailer and company goals on a seasonal timeline, including follow-up on designs and design direction

  • Provide market research and design trend analysis supporting collection theme and design direction

  • Create collection based, and standalone Color&Material designs that are innovative and trend relevant

  • Prepare design concepts and support material for internal reviews

  • Work as a partner with Product Line Management to develop unique and relevant color&material designs

  • Work with Product Development to execute designs that adhere to costing goals while advancing category initiatives

  • Create colorway/material/graphic design files

  • Execute detail specifications through standardized design packages

  • Follow-up on designs and design deliverables in a timely manner

  • Enter designs into product management data system

  • Travel to factories to develop prototypes

  • Support seasonal initiatives as directed by Director Design Sportstyle Footwear.

YOUR TALENT

  • At least 3 years of progressive work experience of designing for a leading footwear/lifestyle/sports brand, ideally in the fashion or sports industry

  • Proven experience in color and material design, color and material creation, selection as well as graphic & print design

  • Extensive knowledge of domestic and international retail, consumer trend, and product line dynamics

  • Experience in international product development, manufacturing processes, product conceptualization and technical package specification

  • Strong knowledge of international fashion/consumer trends and global market dynamics in footwear

  • Proficiency in Adobe Packages

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Very good verbal and written language skills in English

  • Bachelor’s Degree in design and/or relevant field of study
