The Manager, Restaurant Technology Delivery is responsible for leading the planning, delivery, deployment, and operational support of Restaurant Technology solutions across RBI restaurant operations. This role has primary responsibility for initiatives involving point-of-sale, back-of-house, labor, inventory, reporting, digital ordering, and other restaurant platforms. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, vendors, franchisees, and field support partners to deliver scalable technology capabilities that improve restaurant operations and guest experiences.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented technology leader with experience managing complex implementations, integrations, and multi-location rollouts in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit operating environments.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Jacksonville, FL.
What You'll Do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Restaurant Technology initiatives from discovery and planning through pilot, rollout, stabilization, and transition to ongoing support.
- Manage implementations and enhancements for Toast, R365, payments, reporting, digital ordering, and related restaurant platforms.
- Build integrated delivery plans that define milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, owners, and success measures for multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Establish rollout playbooks and readiness criteria that promote consistent execution across corporate and franchise restaurants.
- Own the technical product lifecycle for assigned capabilities, including requirements, process design, solution alignment, backlog prioritization, testing, release planning, and operational handoff.
- Lead the evaluation, design, and delivery of new capabilities and integrations across restaurant systems.
- Develop working knowledge of APIs, interfaces, data flows, configuration dependencies, security considerations, and downstream operational impacts, partnering with technical teams as needed.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Digital, franchisees, and field teams to translate business outcomes into practical restaurant technology solutions.
- Manage pilots and proofs of concept in an IT lab or representative restaurant environment, using findings to improve solution design and rollout readiness.
- Serve as the accountable delivery lead for assigned initiatives, maintaining momentum, decision clarity, and stakeholder alignment.
- Manage vendor and implementation partners, including scope, deliverables, timelines, issue resolution, service expectations, and performance reviews.
- Facilitate governance meetings, status reporting, working sessions, and executive updates that clearly communicate progress, risks, and required decisions.
- Build trusted relationships with franchisees and field support teams by incorporating restaurant feedback and communicating impacts, timelines, training, and support processes.
- Coordinate incident triage and escalation during launch and stabilization periods, ensuring issues are prioritized, communicated, and resolved.
What You'll Need To Succeed:
- 4+ years of experience in technology delivery, product ownership, project or program management, restaurant operations technology, or a related field; experience in QSR, retail, hospitality, or multi-unit operations strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technology implementations, integrations, pilots, or multi-location rollouts from planning through stabilization.
- Hands-on experience with restaurant technology platforms such as POS and back-of-house systems, a plus if you have experience with Toast and R365.
- Experience coordinating vendors, implementation partners, franchisees, field teams, and cross-functional corporate stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project and product management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Monday, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business leaders, vendors, franchisees, and restaurant operators.
