JOB SUMMARY:
The office of Alumni Engagement seeks a student assistant looking to gain knowledge and experience in the world of alumni events and engagement. This position will specifically support production of our alumni podcast through interviewing alumni, producing episodes, and creating marketing materials.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Conduct interviews with alumni for podcast episodes.
Produce podcast episodes by editing interviews and transcribing episodes.
Create marketing materials such as videos and images for social media.
Provide creative insight and thinking when vetting and assisting with podcast development.
Plan to serve as a Reunion Student Ambassador during Reunion Weekend (May 29 - June 1, 2025), as able, to help with live interviews and recordings.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be a current undergraduate student.
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable conducting outreach and interviews with alumni.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, reliable, responsible, and have a strong commitment to customer service.
Attention to detail is mandatory!
Basic knowledge of photo, video, and audio editing software such as Canva, Audacity, etc.
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Ability to exercise discretion in a confidential work environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Professional business office setting.
Possibility to work remotely.
Flexible schedule of approximately 4-8 hours per week.
Work activities may include occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 30 pounds, and the ability to move tables and chairs as necessary.
Pay Grade: SP Student 3, starting at $14.45
