Iron Mountain is seeking Critical Facilities Technician IV, Data Centre to join our IMDC team in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid, Spain. 

As a Senior Data Centre Critical Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining maximum uptime and safeguarding our critical power, cooling, and environmental systems. Your technical expertise will ensure seamless facility performance while protecting our infrastructure and supporting our clients' vital digital operations. Here directly maintains the operational foundation our customers rely on every day.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

  • Take Ownership of Critical Systems: Maintain and operate critical power, HVAC, security, and environmental support facilities to meet or exceed strict service level agreements

  • Monitor and Resolve Tickets: Manage assigned work orders and service tickets for trouble resolution and physical equipment installations.

  • Conduct Facility Inspections: Perform daily operational readings and routine inspections across mechanical and electrical systems to identify and resolve potential issues early.

  • Oversee Safety & Vendors: Supervise third-party vendors during on-site maintenance, ensuring full compliance with safety codes, SOPs, and operating procedures.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center facility operations.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building management systems (BMS).

  • Professional fluency with intermediate English and Spanish language skills.

  • Proven ability to follow process-driven safety protocols, multitask across ticketing queues, and work flexibly across varied shift schedules.
