Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global clinical studies from planning through delivery, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget objectives are achieved.

  • Co-lead cross-functional clinical trial teams to drive collaboration, accountability, and study execution excellence.

  • Develop operational strategies, study timelines, and risk mitigation plans to enable successful study outcomes.

  • Partner with internal experts and external vendors to deliver high-quality clinical trial activities.

  • Monitor study progress, proactively resolve issues, and maintain inspection readiness throughout the study lifecycle.

  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture that promotes learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements and the consistent application of agile ways of working.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or another clinically relevant discipline.

  • Significant experience leading clinical studies within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract research organisations.

  • Strong knowledge of international clinical research regulations, quality standards, and health authority requirements.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams within complex global matrix environments.

  • Excellent project management, planning, and risk management skills with a track record of delivery.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 63,600 to € 118,000

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. 

  

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
