Southern Regional Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women’s Health and Labor & Delivery team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This opportunity offers schedule flexibility while providing comprehensive, evidence-based obstetrical and gynecologic care in a collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
- Independently manage low-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
- Conduct routine gynecologic examinations and women’s health visits.
- Perform labor management, spontaneous vaginal deliveries, and postpartum care.
- Identify high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for consultation or transfer of care.
- Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, contraception, and preventive health.
- Accurately document all patient encounters within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery.
- Current certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (state applicable).
- DEA registration (if required).
- BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Minimum one year of CNM experience preferred; exceptional new graduates are encouraged to apply.
