We are looking to recruit a Physicist for:
- Optical system integration and qualification of systems, tools, and components for our
- Development of analytical instruments for Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES).
- Support of Operations in producing and testing OES analytical equipment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate shall be responsible for:
- Development, prototyping and optimization of optical products and components.
- Defining and optimizing workflows for instruments.
- Supporting product ramp-up to serial production and approval of quality standard for assembled products.
- Maintaining our existing portfolio together with operations, purchasing and vendors.
Efficient cooperation with engineering in optical, mechanics, electronics, software including other Bruker sites and vendors
Qualifications
- 7 years related experience with Bachelor’s degree; 3 years related experience with Master’s degree; PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or other relevant subject
- Experience in analytical instrumentation, Optical Emission Spectrometry, spectrometry equipment or other optical analytical techniques.
- Good understanding in opto-mechanical design and optical principals and concepts
- Experience in optical design software (Zemax, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or other).
- Understanding and hands-on experience of data collection and evaluation.
- Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions.
- Very good communication skills for both internal and global teleconferences in English
- Assignment requires 1–2-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Europe and occasional travel to Europe within R&D projects
