Location: Harrisburg, PA

Hours: M-F, 8AM – 5PM, plus rotating on-call hours as scheduled

Customer Service Associate Job Responsibilities

Delivers Clark Transfer’s high standard of service to theatrical and live entertainment customers by:

• Communicating with and serving customers in daily operations as part of the Customer Service team, including:
  • Inputting operational details provided by customers into the computer system
  • Answering customer calls and emails and processing requests and changes
  • Routing communications and requests to the appropriate parties in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
  • Proactively communicating with customers as assigned; requesting updates
  • Tracking/following up on requests and changes until completed; reporting back to colleagues and to customers directly
• Participating in the Evening and Weekend on-call week rotation
• Developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers, including creating and handling bids:
  • Processing customer schedules
  • Calculating costs for schedules and deriving pricing
  • Creating and delivering bid letters, tracking bids as they progress to contracts, and maintaining associated records
• Handling time-sensitive international border crossing processes and paperwork
• Tracking and analyzing service failures as required
• Participating in team-based efforts to improve internal processes and quality of service
• Undertaking other projects and activities as from time to time may be required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a working knowledge of the behind-the-scenes logistical and production work involved in the theatrical and live entertainment industries
• Have an understanding of the operational principles and practices of the trucking industry
• Have a demonstrated commitment to extraordinary excellence in customer service 
• Have a compulsive and unyielding attention to detail
• Be effective in written and oral communications, including excellent listening skills, accuracy, and timeliness
• Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing needs and circumstances quickly
• Be proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems 
• Be computer-literate, with strong skills in basic business programs including word processing, spreadsheets, communications, and database applications
