Associate Financial Planner | Caldwell, Idaho | $70,000–$75,000/Year + Estimated Commission

Your work will help turn financial plans into action. You’ll prepare for client meetings, maintain accurate financial data, support investment and planning analysis, handle account servicing, and make sure client requests and follow-up items move to completion. As your experience and licensing grow, you’ll take on more responsibility in client review meetings and financial planning.

You’ll work alongside experienced financial professionals and gradually expand your responsibilities as your licensing, knowledge, and confidence grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare client meeting agendas, reports, planning materials, and portfolio reviews
  • Follow up on client action items and maintain accurate CRM records
  • Support financial planning strategies and investment research
  • Maintain client information in financial planning software
  • Process and track new accounts, transfers, transactions, and account maintenance
  • Assist with trading and rebalancing client investment accounts
  • Communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Coordinate with CPAs, estate planning attorneys, and other external professionals
  • Manage the team inbox and keep clients informed of request status
  • Participate in client review meetings and eventually help lead them
  • Identify ways to improve workflows, systems, and the client experience
  • Support front-office needs such as greeting clients, answering phones, and processing checks

What You Need

  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while keeping the Lead Financial Planner informed
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on deadlines
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach to getting the work done
  • Strong persuasive skills
  • FINRA registration, including Series 7 and 66, or recognized equivalents, or the ability to obtain the required registrations within 12 months

Preferred

  • 1–2 years of financial services industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
