2027 Nurse Extern Program
Baptist Health Corbin | Corbin, Kentucky
Baptist Health Corbin is now accepting applications for our 2027 Nurse Extern Program!
The Nurse Extern Program is a paid, 10-week clinical education experience designed for ADN and BSN nursing students entering or enrolled in the final semester of an accredited nursing program. Nurse Externs gain valuable hands-on hospital experience while working alongside experienced nursing professionals in a supportive clinical environment.
This is an opportunity to build your confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, expand your nursing knowledge, and experience what it is like to be part of the Baptist Health Corbin nursing team before beginning your career as a Registered Nurse.
In addition to paid participation, the Nurse Extern Program includes payment of in-state tuition, reflecting Baptist Health Corbin's commitment to developing and supporting future nursing professionals.
Interviews for the 2027 Nurse Extern Program will be held November 3 and November 5, 2026.
Program Requirements
- Enrolled in or entering the final semester of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Current school transcript
- Successful completion of all applicable program and employment requirements
