A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TENNIS PROFESSIONAL:
As a Tennis Pro, you will be responsible for teaching private and group tennis lessons, and managing court maintenance, leagues, programming, events, and new member welcomes. Our Tennis Professionals manage the equipment inventory, meet with hard goods vendors, and establish contacts in the tennis, pickleball, and croquet industries. It will also be your responsibility to order equipment and supplies, oversee the stringing center, and find ways to teach our pro shop associates about racquet selection and stringing.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred. Five plus years in a similar position may fulfill degree requirements.
- USPTA, PTR, and/or IPTPA certified, with previous country club experience.
- Must possess credible tennis skills, 4.0+ or higher.
- Requires customer service and people skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires a high level of computer skills and Microsoft Office program competency.
- Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
- Team player, willing to assist where needed – anywhere on property.
- Strong desire to learn, excel, improve, and continually educate self and team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be in compliance with a Drug-Free Workplace.
