Customer Service Representative
Location: Leeds, UK

What will you be doing?
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering a high-quality service whilst ensuring enquiries and orders are managed efficiently and professionally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to customers across multiple countries and regions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
- Building strong relationships with international customers and internal stakeholders across the wider Farnell business.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to resolve customer queries and support business objectives.
- Managing customer communications across different markets, cultures and business environments.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and other communication channels.
- Processing and managing customer orders, including order tracking, expediting critical orders and communicating order updates.
- Supporting customers with stock availability queries, returns, invoicing and discrepancy resolution.
- Investigating and resolving customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and activity within CRM and internal systems.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance customer service performance.
- Supporting reporting activities and maintaining accurate documentation and records.

You'll ideally have:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service, customer support or customer-facing role.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage customer interactions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
- A proactive approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively within a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working with customers, colleagues or stakeholders across international markets.
- Previous experience within a distribution, supply chain, manufacturing or technology-related environment.
- Additional language skills would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GCSEs or equivalent qualification.
