Overview

Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Arlington is seeking a dependable, hands-on team member to join our Operations team. This full-time position combines hotel maintenance responsibilities with housekeeping support to help ensure our guests enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained property.

Responsibilities

Hotel Maintenance

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, plumbing fixtures, lighting, electrical outlets, switches, televisions, and electronic door locks.
• Replace air filters, light bulbs, motors, and other routine maintenance components.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, repairing faucets, toilets, and water lines.
• Patch, repair, texture, and paint drywall and other wall surfaces.
• Repair furniture, doors, fixtures, flooring, and general building components.
• Maintain and test the swimming pool and spa to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Complete preventive maintenance logs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Housekeeping & Houseman Support

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, fitness center, pool area, and exterior entrances.
• Assist housekeeping by stocking linen closets, delivering linens, towels, cribs, rollaway beds, and guest amenities.
• Remove trash, transport linens, and maintain storage areas in an organized manner.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver requested items to guest rooms.
• Assist with room inspections and help prepare guestrooms for arriving guests.
• Support special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning assignments as directed.
• Work closely with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities, construction, or hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to assist in multiple departments as business needs require.

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
