Responsibilities
Job Purpose
Pattern is seeking a passionate, purpose-driven Senior Project Manager who leads with empathy, clarity, and conviction. This is a high-impact role for someone energized by complexity, motivated by collaboration, and committed to enabling others success. You’ll be a key driver of RELAY -- Pattern’s enterprise-wide process that guides renewable energy, storage, and transmission projects from ideation through development, construction, and into operations.
You’ll take ownership of two of RELAY’s most critical transition points: from Development to Construction (Stage 4) and from Construction to Operations (Stage 6). These moments define how projects move from concept to reality, and your leadership will be essential to ensuring they happen with precision, speed, and alignment.
This role calls for a strategic, steady, and solutions-oriented servant leader -- someone who can navigate ambiguity, unite cross-functional teams, influence across all levels, and deliver under pressure. You’ll be responsible for driving execution, evaluating performance, and continuously improving how we move projects forward. As the transition lead, you’ll share accountability for their success with the RELAY SteerCo and play a pivotal role in shaping how Pattern delivers world-class infrastructure at scale.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead RELAY Transitions:Own the planning, coordination, and execution of RELAY transitions: Stage 4 (Development to Construction) and Stage 6 (Construction to Operations), ensuring seamless handoffs, clear accountability, and timely delivery of all required inputs and approvals.
- Drive Cross-Functional Execution:Coordinate deliverables across Development, Construction, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with RELAY process expectations and project timelines.
- Facilitate Stage Gate Readiness:Ensure all required documentation, risk assessments, and approvals are complete and accurate ahead of each stage gate review. Proactively identify and resolve blockers to maintain momentum.
- Champion Process Integrity:Serve as the process owner for transition stages, ensuring adherence to RELAY standards, RASCI roles, and enterprise tools.
- Continuously Improve the Process:Collaborate with the RELAY SteerCo and functional teams to evaluate the effectiveness of transition stages and implement improvements that enhance clarity, efficiency, and outcomes.
- Embody Servant Leadership:Support and empower cross-functional teams by removing obstacles, fostering collaboration, and ensuring each team has what they need to deliver their best work.
- Communicate with Clarity:Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on transition progress, risks, and decisions. Ensure transparency and alignment at every step.
- Model Operational Excellence:Set a high bar for project discipline, documentation, and follow-through. Bring a calm, focused presence to fast-moving, high-stakes environments
- Manage RELAY Lessons Learned: Ensure that the lessons learned process is followed and lessons captured are properly triaged, reviewed, and actions are assigned to ensure the needed change is sustainable.
Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong track record of leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives -- preferably in infrastructure, energy, construction, or related industries.

- Demonstrated experience working across multiple disciplines (e.g., Development, Construction, Operations, Finance, Legal) and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Deep understanding of stage-gate or portfolio management processes; experience with enterprise process frameworks (e.g., Mavim, Salesforce, Monday.com) is a plus.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills -- able to synthesize complexity, drive alignment, and keep teams focused and accountable.
- A servant leadership mindset that is committed to enabling others, removing roadblocks, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role, and you’ll be expected to dig in and contribute directly.
