The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WLY) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support planning, development, integration, and evaluation of software and communications architecture into tanker aircraft. This role will be pivotal in shaping the next generation of aerial refueling capability by ensuring systems utilize Open System Standards guiding how the software blueprint is built into mobility aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and Oversee AMS GRA Architecture: Provide technical Agile Mission Suite Government Reference Architecture (AMS GRA) subject matter expertise for the implementation and integration of all AMS GRA elements necessary for integration into mobility aircraft capabilities and projects.
2. Review Contractual & Acquisition Strategies: Review and evaluate contractual language, Statements of Objectives (SOO), Statements of Work (SOW), and Requests for Proposal (RFP) and any other document for mobility System Program Office (SPO) and related commodities SPO handling mobility related technologies, to improve government to industry communication for AMS GRA requirements.
3. Evaluate Open Systems Management Plans (OSMPs): Critically assess and interpret OSMPs to verify that proposed system designs align with AMS GRA standards.
4. Drive Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Utilize digital engineering and MBSE methodologies to organize, track, assess, and validate MBSE deliverables between Government and Vendors.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years or more of AMS GRA implementation into DoD Systems
- Software development/integration experience
- Integrating multiple avionics, mission systems, and/or software applications into DoD or commercial aircraft systems through hands on experience into open systems architectures.
- Technical management of integrating multiple avionics systems into aircraft platforms
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with SysML Modeling language
- Knowledge of digital engineering tools, modeling & simulation, and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MBSE).
